Primary roles include the strapping and wrapping of LTL shipments as well as loading them onto their corresponding trailers. Requirements

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Basic math skills, i.e. (adding, subtracting and percentage calculations)
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a material handling position. Distribution environment preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Has high attention to detail.
  • Capacity to retain information.
  • Has excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for making decisions on the method of shipping the product based on the best interest of Visual Comfort and customer
  • Creates and prepares shipping documentation, including Bills of Ladings, shipping labels, and export paperwork
  • Routes outgoing shipments through various methods and schedules transportation of shipments
  • Physically capable of strapping products to pallets
  • Operates PIT to transport pallets onto trailers.
  • Strive to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals
  • Efficiently coordinate outbound shipments
  • Other duties as assigned
