Select containers for parts or products. Pack and seal parts, coils or sections into or onto fabricated containers or skids Load materials into/onto trucks and installs strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Complete shipping or receiving reports and records Operate picking systems, barcode scanners, PIT, power material-handling equipment and trucks to move material and finished products Take part in the training process for all new team members. Provide input regarding the performance of new team members. Participate with other team members on safety, process and quality improvement teams. Work with team members, supervisors and support areas to coordinate workflow to meet production requirements. Perform other duties as assigned Train new members on the various machines, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent items regarding safety, quality and production Responsible for maintaining the 5s program to ensure a clean work area Follow and understand HOMESafe, Personal Choice and company safety manual requirements. Identify and rework defective work pieces to comply with quality standards. Ability to use hand tools Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks), obtain PIT License All other duties as assigned Your Qualifications: The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE. The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time. The ability to read and understand written English. High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
