About The Position

Sorts and prepares materials for shipment and / or recycling operations. Actively participates in post-retail recycling of product. Utilizes forklift and/or walk behind stacker to load and unload materials.

Requirements

  • Must have dependable transportation.
  • Able to use pallet jack, two‐wheel dollies and four-wheel carts.
  • Able to sort and pack material for safe storage or transport.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Power Industrial Truck certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting unloading or loading trucks.
  • Sorts merchandise into containers for storage, processing, distribution, and recycling.
  • Operates baler machine to prepare specified material for distribution.
  • Maintains accurate record keeping of recycling output.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working area.
  • Visually inspects equipment prior to operating to determine if equipment is safe to operate.
  • Utilizes safety checklists to maintain accurate record keeping of equipment safety inspections.
  • Obtains and maintains license to operate forklift and walk behind stacker.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the above duties, responsibilities, and equipment operation through evaluation.
  • Assists with basic periodical maintenance of industrial equipment.
  • Complies with all agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
