Position Overview As a Material Handler II at Adaptive, you’ll be responsible for assisting the clinical laboratory operations and research labs maintain the right levels of inventory. We are seeking team-oriented and energetic individuals who have previous experience in highly regulated environments. Material Handlers reconcile receipts, move, store, and distribute various non-hazardous and hazardous materials, laboratory components, and business supplies. Working with closely related departments, you’ll conduct an array of activities to replenish raw materials and supplies where they are needed.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree preferred; High School Diploma/Associates degree required
  • 1 year of material handling experience in a highly regulated environment (GMP, ISO etc.)
  • Lean or Six Sigma training preferred
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • High attention to detail and ability to adhere to SOP’s
  • A can-do, customer-oriented attitude

Responsibilities

  • Perform all work in adherence to our standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements such as ISO 13485 and FDA 21CFR Part 820, documenting nonconformances and suggesting improvements as needed
  • Provide guidance to entry-level staff
  • If qualified, perform DG /HazMat shipments
  • Perform structured problem solving to identify root causes and corrective actions
  • Accurately receive and putaway inbound materials
  • Pick and prepare orders for outbound shipment
  • Stock laboratories and warehouse areas
  • Cycle count materials and investigate variances
  • Work with appropriate staff to reconcile purchase orders and packing slips
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Other duties as assigned
