This role involves communicating with operators to ensure a continuous flow of materials and prevent shortages, supplying required components or ingredients to the assigned production department, and ensuring materials are cleared from QC Hold for proper product use. The Material Handler II is responsible for transporting products, opening boxes, and making ingredients or components available at each production station. Key responsibilities also include immediately notifying the group leader or supervisor of any food quality issues or foreign objects, reporting damaged or malfunctioning equipment, and efficiently stocking finished products or boxes on pallets, as well as empty pallets. The position requires monitoring safety procedures in the work area, maintaining cleanliness, adhering to all work rules, driving at a safe speed, wearing proper PPE, and correctly following GMPs. A critical aspect of this role is understanding and implementing appropriate safety procedures, achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment, and compliance with safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
