About The Position

Responsible for the receiving and storage of all raw materials to aid in the manufacture of high quality brake pads, and the shipping of finished goods to our customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent required
6+ months of manufacturing experience; preferred knowledge of shipping/receiving practices.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and how to complete bills of lading
Ability to operate all forklifts and tuggers in a safe and responsible manner.
Strict adherence to 5S concept
The ability to work overtime as scheduled
Technologically proficient

Responsibilities

Inspect all forklifts at beginning of shift and complete necessary check lists, maintain file for future reference or inspection.
Load/Unload trucks as required.
Stage all raw materials; apply HMIS labels and information as required.
Run labels for raw materials as required.
Stage goods in mix room as required.
Inspect plastic and wooden pallets. Disposes/repair pallets as necessary.
Transport materials to/from flammables building; maintain storage building in a clean and orderly manner using first in/first out method for materials stored, and transport materials as needed.
Stage Hamatite for plate prep area.
Stage incoming totes of backing plates in racks for plate prep area.
Breakdown waste corrugated materials, bale and stage for recycling
Operate baler as required.
Prepare shipments to customers.
Perform weekly inspection of all hazardous waste satellite storage areas and hazardous waste storage in flammables building.
Label and stage empty drums for hazardous waste accumulation as needed.
Properly label full drums of hazardous waste removed to hazardous waste storage in flammables building.
Track dates on hazardous waste to assure timely shipping of waste to disposal facility
Assist with inventory of materials/finished product as required.
