About the role: The Material Handler (2nd Shift) is responsible for safely loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the district, service center, yard, or work site. Please note overtime will be required as business demands. What you will do: At SPM Oil & Gas, our primary objective is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service

Requirements

  • This position is open only to current agency employees assigned to Caterpillar and working onsite at the SPM Fort Worth Distribution Center
  • Minimum of three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to proficiently operate a computer independently

Responsibilities

  • Unload, stock and inventory all deliveries
  • Assist with new orders and cycle counts
  • Read and understand standard work and risk assessments
  • Ability to understand Inventory Control Process
  • Exhibits equipment and product understanding
  • Counts, weighs, secures, tags, palettize and stacks materials and maintains accurate records of material movement
  • Assist service operations with pulling and picking parts
  • Performs other job duties as assigned
