Level I: 0-3 years. Under direct supervision, handles and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines. May operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment. This is an entry-level position. Typically requires a high school education. 'Work will be in warehouse doing functions such as: receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments. Loads and unloads product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas. Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as: size, type, style, color, or product code. Operates gas or electric powered forklift truck to move, stack, load or unload materials, parts, finished goods, etc. May load/unload trucks; may use a Hi-Rise to load items in storage racks.'
