About The Position

Anchor Fabrication, a precision metal fabrication company, is seeking an experienced Material Handler for the 1st shift. This position is responsible for the receipt and inventory of incoming shipments, ensuring they are processed and placed in the appropriate bins. The role involves entering transactions into the computer system, processing materials for shipment by reviewing open order reports, pick lists, or tags, and transferring materials to required locations. Additionally, the Material Handler will conduct cycle counts, manage inventory in assigned areas, load and unload trailers and flatbeds, resolve inventory discrepancies, and accurately pick, pack, and ship orders. Collaboration with team members for timely order fulfillment and maintaining a clean and organized work area are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

Ability to write reports in the English language
Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory
Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
Forklift experience (stand-up and sit down)

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a related field

Responsibilities
