About The Position

Anchor Fabrication, a precision metal fabrication company, is seeking an experienced Material Handler. This role is responsible for the comprehensive management of materials, including the receipt, inventory, processing, and shipment of goods. The Material Handler ensures accurate record-keeping in the computer system, manages inventory through cycle counts, and maintains an organized work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to write reports in the English language
Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory
Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
Prior manufacturing experience
Forklift experience (stand-up and sit down)

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

Responsible for the receipt and inventory of incoming shipments, ensuring shipment is processed and placed in the appropriate bin
Ensure the appropriate transactions are entered into the computer system
Process materials to be shipped by reviewing open order reports, pick list or tags
Pull the appropriate material and transfer to required location
Conduct cycle counts as necessary and manage inventory of assigned area
Load and unload trailers and flatbeds as required
Resolve inventory discrepancies
Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately and efficiently
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment
Maintain a clean and organized work area
