About The Position

The Material Handler Clerk prepares customer shipments and shipping documentation and prepares and arranges product for customer delivery based on customer and production planning orders. This position loads and unloads parts on tractor, trailers, or warehouse locations and moves material to and from warehouse or storage locations in preparation of shipping to the customer. The Material Handler Clerk maintains proper documentation of material movement and prints shipping labels per customer requirements and as required for accounting, inventory, or other purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Stages parts and prepares shipping and receiving documentation for parts to ship to customers.
  • Responsible for receiving, inventory, and the movement and storage of parts or other materials.
  • Supports floor control and correct handling, storage, and labeling of parts or materials
  • Supports the Sorting Area with pick up and delivery of parts for double sort activities
  • Maintains proper documentation of material movement as required for accounting, inventory or other purposes.
  • Confirms parts identification, operation confirmation, part production routing, processes, production part identification, inventory tags/ identifications, movement tags, Plex, or other information systems
  • Communicates with operators from other shifts
  • Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
  • Complete daily logs
  • Ensures all production lines have proper parts in place
  • Properly stores all finished products into the warehouse
  • Transports all parts to the proper area for the next process
  • Utilizes personal time management to optimize production
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
  • Follows all rules and regulations regarding confidentiality
  • Creates and maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Identifies unsafe operations and practices and report the same to Manager immediately
