About The Position
As a Material Handler 2, you will play a crucial role in our Plant operations. Your primary responsibilities will involve the efficient movement, organization, and storage of materials within our facility, utilizing both motorized and non-motorized equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs or more
- Accurate and precise in tasks
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues
- Ability to operate and maintain motorized equipment
- Valid Driver's License
- 2-5 years of experience operating a tractor, forklift, and other motorized equipment
Responsibilities
- Move materials between production and storage areas using motorized vehicles (forklifts) and smaller motorized equipment
- Inspect materials for defects, quantity, and quality
- Locate and move stock to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and perform regular maintenance to ensure safety
- Package, label, and process shipments, ensuring accuracy and damage prevention
- Load and unload materials for shipping and receiving, verifying accuracy and identifying defects
- Utilize hand tools and equipment to prepare materials for shipping, storage, and receiving
