About The Position

The material handler receiving position is responsible for the incoming of material, managing inventory, and maintaining plant organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or 1 to 3 months’ experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Class A driver’s license
• Lift Truck Certification (walk behind and rider)
• Ability to print and speak simple English sentences
• Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables

Responsibilities

• Load/unload trucks
• Verify incoming materials
• Data entry
• Plant organization
• Participate month end inventory
• Maintain accurate inventory counts in AS/400
• Manage materials in multiple locations
• Release materials from vendors
• Issue purchase orders
• Cycle count materials
• Takes responsibility of work area to produce a safe and quality food product
• Report all food safety and quality related problems to your manager and to the QA department to initiate immediate action
