About The Position

General Job Summary: Responsible for all duties of preparing, packing, or moving material for manufacturing processing or shipment to our customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Material Management: Keeps warehouse and inventory locations neat, orderly, and organized. Stocks finished goods, details, hardware, and steel in appropriate locations. Delivers parts to next work center/ department based on router. Assists with cycle counts, including daily cycle count reports generated by Plex. Stages paperwork and parts in work center departments and QC. Receiving: Moves incoming parts to staging area. Visual inspect parts for condition defects such as rust or damage. Verify counts against packing list for receipts. Packing/ Shipping: Inspects parts for defects to maintain quality requirements prior to packing. Verifies all outgoing material is correctly packed, wrapped, and/or palletized in accordance with packing list and bill of materials. Affixes proper, legible labels with accurate shipping address. Correctly updates computer program for schedule, due date, quantities, and shipment details. Reviews packaging requirements and advises supervisor of any necessary changes. Provides feedback on packaging instructions on Prototype Jobs. Conducts quality checks following quality process instructions (MPCD). All Areas: Follows all safety processes and procedures in accordance with job and Company requirements. Ability to safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts. Ensures that the work area is clean, orderly, and safe. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to internal and external customers. Assists with other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-2 years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to use hand tools such as screw drivers, sockets, Allen wrench, air drivers, tape dispenser and material handling equipment such as hand jack.
  • Basic Computer skills. Data entry and navigation of ERP system.
  • Intermediate Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Associates of organization.
  • Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate.
  • Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to sit; walk, stand for extensive periods of time, maneuver through the office and factory; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; grasp and twist; talk or hear; and lift and/or move equipment/product weighing up to 50 pounds. Utilize lift assist or work with another associate to lift anything greater than 50 pounds.
