About The Position

Tyonek Services Group will augment services provided by Air Force military personnel to modify, maintain, inspect, control corrosion, overhaul, repair, regenerate and store various weapon systems, related components, missiles, engines, ground support equipment and vehicles.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable T1 background investigation
  • Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools, and detect imperfections and micrometer readings.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
  • May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Locate, transport, and stage materials between storage, production, and repair areas in accordance with government-established schedules, priorities, and mission requirements.
  • Review production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine material requirements, quantities, availability, and urgency, and shall coordinate daily with government supervisors and shop personnel to identify overdue materials, communicate material status, and resolve shortages that may impact production flow or aircraft readiness.
  • Move materials using carts, hand trucks, or other approved material-handling equipment and maintain accurate records of all materials distributed, received, or on hand.
  • Direct Power-Truck Operators or Material Handling Laborers, when required, to expedite material movement and verify that materials at workstations match work ticket specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain production records, timecards, and other required documentation, and shall update and maintain inventory records using government-provided computer systems.
  • Ensure continuous material flow and uninterrupted repair and overhaul operations across all assigned aircraft commodities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
