About The Position

The Material Expeditor performs crating and uncrating of supplies, equipment and materials and operates wood working equipment required for preparing and shaping wood and allied materials while maintaining a positive company image.
This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mathematical skills at the level of a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a Materials Management/Supply setting.
• Possesses basic computer/keyboarding skills.
• Experience in fabricating shipping containers.
• Experience in using various power tools in woodworking business.
• Current active Secret Security Clearance.
• Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
• Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
• U.S. Citizenship.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Government Contract & Contracts acquisition management.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping, receiving, staging, and transport of Government equipment and materials.
• Inspect received equipment, log items into inventory systems within required timelines, and report discrepancies.
• Coordinate daily deliveries and pickups between contractor facilities and Government locations.
• Package, label, weigh, and prepare equipment for domestic and international shipment using best commercial practices.
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation and inventory records.
• Support warehouse organization, material handling, and secure storage of Sponsor-Owned Project Material (SOPM).
• Perform all other job-related duties assigned.
