About The Position

LACO Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Distribution Coordinator to join our team. The Material Handling & Production Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring efficient material flow throughout the facility by staging, issuing, auditing, and delivering inventory and work-in-process (WIP) items. This role supports Production, Service, Shipping, and Quality departments by maintaining organized workflows, ensuring inventory accuracy, and delivering materials promptly to minimize delays and enhance operational efficiency. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or logistics training is a plus.
  • Previous experience in material handling, inventory control, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Stage parts for inspection to support timely quality review.
  • Ensure materials are issued and delivered promptly to the appropriate departments.
  • Pull and prepare distribution orders accurately and deliver them to Shipping with all required documentation.
  • Put away WIP and warehouse inventory, ensuring items are properly staged, stocked, and recorded.
  • Assist the Service Department by pushing required parts in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Verify that all stock items are properly issued, pulled, and delivered to the correct departments.
  • Pull and issue parts to WIP.
  • Deliver WIP materials to the production floor to support on-time manufacturing.
  • Over-issue or return excess inventory to work orders as required.
  • Gather subcontract work orders and prepare them for delivery or external processing.
  • Conduct WIP audits to maintain inventory accuracy and location integrity.
  • Coordinate and maintain the Bench Stock Kanban process.
  • Maintain organized workflows to support smooth material handling throughout the facility.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve material-related issues quickly.
  • Support and participate in ongoing 5S improvements to sustain a clean and efficient work environment.
