About The Position

The Material Damage Analyst will engage in verbal and written communication with insurance companies, adjusters, and management as needed. The Material Damage Analyst will ensure state-specific requirements are met and that internal guidelines are followed. The Material Damage Analyst will handle all rebuttal, exotic vehicles, and estimate for items that do not have a database available for an estimate. This role is also responsible for designing, organizing, and conducting training programs for new employees and continuing education of existing Adjusters, Specialists, MDS, and investigators. They will stay current on industry trends and best practices to ensure that training programs remain up-to-date and relevant. They will handle MDS QA for technical accuracy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 13-15 years of work-related experience
  • CCC One estimating experience
  • Excel experience
  • Considerable knowledge and experience with Pega and iVOS

Responsibilities

  • Rebutt al R eq uests and Specialty Estimates – 50%: Directly handle all Rebuttal assignments on behalf of our clients, as well as directly handle certain claims involving complex damages. Ensure rebuttal claims comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements in all applicable jurisdictions. Responsible for formulating a proper resolution strategy to ensure the best total outcome. Work within authority limits on assignments that reflect a high degree of technical complexity and coordination. Analyze Vehicle damage for the cause of damage. Handle special projects related to specialty areas as needed. Responsible for analyzing and communicating changes in law and regulation to ensure consistent quality estimate handling.
  • Training and Technical Quality Assurance – 25%: Train new Adjuster and investigators on damage assessment, procedures, and practices. Train new hire MDS on estimate policies, company procedures, and proper documentation. Compose innovative and user-focused training materials, including reference guides, and on-demand learning tools. Have regular follow up with new hires during their 90-day ramp-up period, providing ongoing mentoring and coaching as needed. Conduct refresher/enhancement training to further develop existing knowledge and skills to ensure accuracy in both damage assessment and estimates. Proactively coordinates training and QA standards to ensure the timeliness of deliverables to exceed team and operational needs. Assess training effectiveness seeking feedback from learners and their managers while partnering with other parts of the organization to elevate, imagine and engage in new training opportunities. Conduct new hire evaluations to identify areas of improvement and liaise with managers to determine training needs. The training portion of this role will be held accountable for effective training plans. Their success will be measured by how quickly the new hire is removed from on-ramp status based estimate and documentation results.
  • Estimates - 25%: Produce estimates for exotic vehicles and all vehicles without a Database in CCC. Special consideration estimates on business needs. Handle older files and /or hold files that may be behind with the MDS. Communicates professionally in written and/or oral format with insurance carriers and Adjusters.
