About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Composite Material Cutting Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing material cutting operations to support production. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience in pre-preg cutting, ply orientation and material handling, but not required. Additionally, proficiency in inventory tracking, understanding of cutting/ nesting software, and strong organization are necessary for this role. Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Experience working in fast-paced, time sensitive environments
  • Demonstrated abilities following standardized work instructions, technical requirements, and executing standard processes.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs aided or unaided throughout the day.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
  • Must wear PPE when required.
  • Have no known allergies to epoxies or other composites materials and able to become certified to wear a respirator.
  • Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces
  • Ability to become forklift, crane, or equipment certified
  • Must be able to continuously stand, squatt bend, pull, twist, and lift throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of manufacturing experience or 2+ years of CNC or material cutting machine operating experience
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a high-volume production environment that relies on a well-defined process to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S environments.

Responsibilities

  • Pull raw materials from freezer containers and track out-life adjustments and cure by dates through designated material tracker.
  • Use of computer to nest kitting line up, part ID printing, and operation of material cutting machine.
  • Required attention to detail to properly sort, kit, label and store kits.
  • Support Hand Layup team by filling consumables throughout the shop
  • Efficiently manage time to ensure all tasks are completed prior to end of shift.
  • Coordinate material adjustments with Inventory and Receiving, track material usage, discard materials properly, and ensure compliance to standard procedures.
  • Demonstrate understanding of composite pre-preg materials and various other kitted materials (ie. R&D materials, mylar, ToolTec, ect).
