About The Position

Material Coordinator Huntsman is seeking a Material Coordinator supporting the Performance Products Division located in Freeport, Texas. This position will report to the Engineering Manager. Job Scope The Material Coordinator is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate supply of materials required to support site manufacturing activities, while maintaining inventory accuracy, safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. In summary, as the Material Coordinator, you will: Support warehouse operational standards by contributing to production, productivity, quality, and customer service objectives. Receive, store, maintain, issue, return, and deliver materials in a timely and compliant manner. Maintain accurate inventory through routine physical counts, variance reconciliation, system updates, and communication of results. Ensure clean, organized, and safe warehouse and storage areas by adhering to storage design principles and recommending improvements. Maintain warehouse facilities and equipment by enforcing operating instructions, coordinating preventive maintenance, and ensuring timely repairs. Prepare and stage kitted materials for future work and production needs. Coordinate equipment transfers for off-site repair. Expedite materials and organize hotshot deliveries when required. Ensure proper shipping protocols are followed and all documentation is prepared and validated prior to shipment. Support internal and external audits, including SOX audits. Ensure warehouse and inventory security in accordance with corporate standards. Collaborate effectively with team members across different backgrounds and perspectives. Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives and complete all required training. Be present in the workplace on a regular basis and work overtime when necessary to meet production objectives. Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a warehouse, logistics, or materials management environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise moderate decision-making.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, email, and internet-based tools.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management systems; SAP experience required.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Logistics, Materials Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Forklift operation certification.
  • PMI utilization or certification.
  • Previous experience supporting audits and regulated environments.
