About The Position

Nakupuna Companies is looking to hire a Material Coordinator to support the NAVAIR Command Property Office Warehouse Optimization Project. The purpose of this position is to be a member of a contract support team to provide logistical support services for inventory management and physical material expertise client warehouse located in Richmond, VA.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, have strong attention to detail, good oral and written communication skills
• Must be in good physical condition and can occasionally travel
• Must have valid state-issued vehicle operator’s license
• One (1) year experience in DoD or commercial services logistics, supply, and physical material inventory procedures is required
• Must be U.S. Citizen and need to pass background investigation to qualify for and obtain a base access pass.
• Must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
• Richmond, VA – Steel toe shoe required

Nice To Haves

• MHE license desirable - MHE operator must possess a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate or proof of a current medical examination document on their license
• Experience with the Navy supply system is desirable
• Experience with Navy ERP is desirable
• High school diploma preferred.
• Active SECRET clearance and/or a current Common Access Card (CAC) desirable
• This position may require up to 25% travel, with reimbursement in accordance with the JTR. As travel may include international destinations, a valid passport is desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform receipt, stow, issue, & ship, along with other basic warehouse functions
• Perform physical inventories in accordance with client policy
• Perform material coordination efforts to organize and position assets in accordance with client policy and operational requirements
• Identify process improvement opportunities
• Operate Material Handling Equipment (training to be provided)
• Keep Nakupuna project leadership team abreast of any issues of potential impact to achievement of contract deliverables or accomplishment of client mission
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards and on-the-job safety requirements
• This role may be performed during first or second shift as determined by operational and client requirements
