About The Position

BASIC FUNCTION: To ensure all raw materials are unloaded, stored, inspected, inventoried, and used to the highest possible yield during the production process.

Requirements

Must be able to communicate in English.
Computer skills needed: Easylabel and SAP functions
Raw material inventory procedures
Fork truck skills required
Raw material testing protocols
Knowledge of the raw material handling system
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
Able to push, pull or carry light loads as needed
Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable.

Nice To Haves

Previous material handling experience a plus
Forklift certification

Responsibilities

Unload all raw material that come from vendors or other Sabert facilities.
Perform raw material cycle counts weekly
Keep raw material storage areas clean and swept of debris
Assist in monthly raw material counts.
Stage raw material for material handlers to use each shift.
Ensure that all reject raw materials are shipped back to proper vendors.
Ensure purge truck is loaded properly and material weights are recorded
Make sure that all material is properly identified and weighed
Clean specific areas as directed by supervision.
Perform receiving functions in SAP for all raw materials
Assist warehouse personnel with truck loading/unloading of finished goods if time permits.
Train material handlers to identify raw materials correctly for proper use and storage
Load scrap pallets to return to pallet vendor for credit
