Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Clearance: Ability to handle government property in compliance with FAR/DFARS regulations.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse/inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Oracle).
  • 2–3 years of experience in stockroom/crib procedures.
  • 1+ years managing aspects of Government property (acquisition, movement, disposition, inventory, subcontractor control).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Competent using material handling equipment and basic hand tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, climb ladders (3–12 ft), and work on elevated platforms.
  • Frequent standing, walking, overhead reaching, and occasional crawling or squatting.
  • Must pass visual acuity and color vision tests.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Comfortable working with hazardous materials and in noisy environments.
  • Must obtain and maintain required training certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, store, and distribute materials, supplies, and parts per company and customer procedures.
  • Utilize material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, overhead cranes, tow motors) and company vehicles for movement and storage of materials.
  • Process shipping and receiving tasks, including inspection, documentation, and routing of materials.
  • Track inventory using warehouse management systems and barcode equipment; maintain accurate records of material movement.
  • Assemble parts kits, hazardous material kits, and tooling kits as required.
  • Operate hand tools and fabricate special containers for parts shipment.
  • Conduct physical inventories; report discrepancies, damage, or deterioration of stored items.
  • Perform rough, non-angular cutting of materials (primarily tubing) and prepare parts for storage or delivery.
  • Access high-storage bins using picker equipment; stock and retrieve materials.
  • Review production schedules and material requirements to ensure availability of hardware.
  • Analyze and resolve complex material-related issues to support quality, budget, and schedule adherence.
  • Support hazardous material handling and disposal according to safety procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness, tool control, and safety compliance in all assigned work areas.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
