About The Position

Check items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination and routing are correct. Inspects incoming orders to verify type, quantity, and condition against orders. Identifies and marks parts and material using stock number, price, and quantity, then stores them in predetermined location. Posts all receipts and issue of materials to appropriate record. Orders parts and materials for stock and immediate use. Ensures the warehouse is clean and orderly. Routes incoming goods to the proper departments. Unpacks and sorts incoming merchandise. Loads or unloads material, equipment, merchandise or supplies from automobiles, trucks, or other vehicles. Assist in the physical inventory. Rejects damaged goods or materials and corresponds with the shipper to adjust damages or shortages. Checks materials against vendors invoices, bills of lading, customer orders and similar papers. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate
  • 6 - 12 months experience in warehouse operation
  • Enrollment in the Apprenticeship Program is required in accordance with standards
  • Valid Driver's License, CDL Learner's Permit or CDL Class "B" with Hazmat Endorsement (subject to motor vehicle record review)
  • Required to obtain a CDL Class "B" with Hazmat Endorsement within 6 months from date of employment
