About The Position

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Material Control Processor to join Plant 4, Thermatech in Whitehall, MI. This is a weekend position within Plant 4, Thermatech Coatings Operation. The role involves training on days before transitioning to one of two weekend shift patterns: either three 12-hour shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM) or four 10-hour shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Minimum of two years of work experience; or six months continuous manufacturing experience
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a shipping/receiving department in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Must be flexible in a changing work environment and able to reorganize rapidly to changing priorities

Responsibilities

• Preparing shipping and receiving documentation for incoming and outgoing materials, including preparation of export control documentation
• Receipt of materials
• Order entry
• Preparing and maintaining hazardous waste manifest log
• Physical inventory
• Learn and support key Shipping Department functions to serve as back up when required
• Other duties as assigned
