About The Position

The Material Control Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of products stored, which includes counting and inspecting products, physical inventory, replenishments, reporting any damage or discrepancies, reconciling inventory discrepancies, product put away, and reallocation. This role will verify inventory accuracy to meet quality standards, with all inventory control functions processed according to Standard Operating Procedures. The clerk may also operate material handling equipment and perform other assigned job duties. Additionally, the position involves the safe operation of a 12-passenger van and a Utility/Service truck to transport and deliver personnel, materials, and equipment across campus and to off-campus locations. The occupant will also perform light maintenance, such as inspecting vehicles at the beginning of each shift to ensure good cosmetic and mechanical condition. Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the accuracy of products stored, including counting and inspecting products
  • Performing physical inventory
  • Managing replenishments
  • Reporting any damage or discrepancies
  • Reconciling inventory discrepancies
  • Performing product put away and reallocation
  • Verifying inventory accuracy meets quality standards
  • Processing all inventory control functions as defined by Standard Operating Procedures
  • Operating material handling equipment (may be responsible)
  • Performing other job assignments as assigned
  • Operating a 12-passenger van and a Utility/Service truck safely
  • Transporting and delivering personnel, materials, and equipment to work locations across campus and to off-campus locations as needed
  • Performing light maintenance work such as inspecting the exterior and interior of the vehicles at the beginning of each shift to ensure good cosmetic and mechanical condition
