About The Position

We are seeking a Material Area Supervisor to lead material handling teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate material flow to support production operations, while driving performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics. The ideal candidate is a strong team leader who can manage daily operations, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain a high-performing work environment. Work Schedule Onsite position Must be open to 1st and 2nd shift , with potential rotation based on business needs 1st Shift: Early morning to early afternoon 2nd Shift: Afternoon to late evening

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams in a high-volume environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including rotation between shifts as needed

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Experience working in a unionized environment
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise material handling teams to achieve targets in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale
• Oversee material receiving, storage, line delivery, and inventory accuracy
• Ensure timely and efficient material flow to support production schedules
• Coordinate daily work assignments and resolve operational challenges
• Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives and plant standards
• Utilize lean manufacturing or operational excellence tools (training provided as needed)
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with management and employees
• Support staffing efforts, including participation in candidate interviews
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
