About The Position

At Collins Aerospace, our teams are redefining aerospace—through precision, collaboration, and disciplined execution. We are seeking a Master Scheduler to support the West Des Moines and Carroll sites. This role is critical to ensuring our Master Production Schedule (MPS) is fully aligned with customer demand, supply chain capabilities, and operational capacity. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a systems-thinking mindset, and the ability to partner cross-functionally to drive schedule integrity and execution excellence. This is a hybrid role (combination of onsite and remote work) based in West Des Moines. Weekly onsite presence is required.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in production planning, master scheduling, or supply planning within a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse.
  • Strong analytical skills with working experience interpreting data, identifying trends, and driving action-oriented insights.
  • Proficiency with planning tools, SAP and Tableau proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage the end-item level Master Production Schedule (MPS) using demand, capacity, and lead-time inputs.
  • Utilize Kinaxis RapidResponse to analyze demand and supply scenarios and drive informed scheduling decisions.
  • Partner closely with the Integrated Product Management Team to review and align on the monthly MPS, ensuring a realistic and executable production plan.
  • Evaluate changes in customer demand and assess impacts to the MPS, capacity, and supply chain constraints.
  • Analyze and respond to demand change requests, including management of the expedite and prioritization process.
  • Provide key supply plan data and analytics supporting site-level and Business Unit Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes.
  • Prepare and present KPI reporting, including schedule adherence, MPS accuracy, and inventory health metrics.
  • Evaluate inventory projections based on supply and demand signals and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize inventory levels.
  • Facilitate rough-cut capacity planning for applicable master scheduled parts.
  • Execute the MPS Accuracy Reporting process in compliance with MMAS policies and internal controls.
  • Support rescheduling activities to balance supply plans with financial commitments, providing insights and recommendations as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in planning processes, tools, and data accuracy.
