The Master Scheduler is responsible for translating demand signals, open orders, and operational inputs into a clear, executable production schedule. This role ensures alignment across Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain by proactively identifying constraints, balancing capacity, and driving disciplined execution. Operating in a non-MRP environment, the Master Scheduler plays a critical role in building scalable scheduling processes, improving throughput, and ensuring on-time delivery across the business.

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or operations within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis (capacity planning, demand inputs, variance analysis)
  • Solid understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and resource leveling
  • Experience managing constraints, lead times, and throughput in a manufacturing setting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a non-MRP or evolving systems environment strongly preferred
  • Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and/or BI tools (Power BI is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously refine the master production schedule using open orders, work logs, and capacity inputs.
  • Convert demand forecasts and sales orders into a feasible, leveled production plan across machines and resources.
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks, material constraints, and resource limitations; escalate risks and recommend solutions.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure daily execution aligns with the production plan and business priorities.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and make real-time adjustments to maintain throughput and delivery commitments.
  • Build and continuously improve scheduling processes, tools, and standards to drive efficiency and scalability in a non-MRP environment.
