Master Plumber Location: Lansing, MI Parker-Arntz Plumbing & Heating is growing! We are looking for an experienced Master Plumber to join our team in the greater Lansing, MI area. While our corporate office is in Greenville, MI, our team members live and work across Michigan. We take pride in delivering high-quality plumbing solutions on residential, commercial, and industrial projects throughout Michigan and Ohio. We are actively growing and are looking for experienced commercial plumbers who take pride in quality work and want long-term stability with a respected contractor. What You’ll Do As a Master Plumber, you will play a key leadership role on our projects. You will be responsible for overseeing plumbing installations and repairs while ensuring all work meets code, safety standards, and client expectations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Master Plumber
  • Valid Plumbing License
  • Strong knowledge of residential and multi-family plumbing systems
  • Experience with underground, rough-in, top-out, and finish plumbing
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, tools, and safety practices
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide a team through troubleshooting and emergency repairs
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and resolve installation issues independently
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to work in the greater Lansing, MI area

Responsibilities

  • Leading projects from start to finish, ensuring work stays on schedule and within budget
  • Communicating with clients, architects, and construction professionals to meet project specifications
  • Conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with job specifications and building codes
  • Preparing and interpreting work orders and material/time estimates
  • Troubleshooting complex plumbing issues and providing technical guidance
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and diagrams
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and appliances such as water heaters, sinks, faucets, drains, toilets, and urinals
  • Installing and maintaining pressurized piping systems, including water tanks, pumps, boilers, and furnaces
  • Installing, testing, and repairing backflow prevention devices of all sizes
  • Testing plumbing systems for leaks and performance issues
  • Supervising, mentoring, and training apprentice and journeyman plumbers
