About The Position

The Master Planner will use their knowledge to prepare, develop and lead an effective production schedule.. You will work with a cross functional team to ensure we exceed our customers’ expectations and commitments for deliveries of product. This role will require a person dedicated to managing, collaborating and resolving conflicts efficiently to keep our production schedule on track and ensure we can meet our customer’s demands for quality products.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate, collaborate, and work well with the different groups and levels of the organization to provide the level of information needed in order to make decisions
  • Understanding of demand planning and MRP process
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment and initiative in dealing with a variety of duties and responsibilities.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to present resolution scenarios
  • Strong leadership skills/ability to lead and influence functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail oriented and skilled in data analysis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred) and 5+ years relevant experience
  • Experience working within integrated ERP software applications and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a PMI scheduling professional (PMI-SP) will be advantageous
  • Ideal professional experience includes support in Accounting, Finance, Program Management or Program Planning & Scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing or aerospace/defense environment
  • Advanced Excel Skills would be advantageous
  • Advanced proficiency in project scheduling software

Responsibilities

  • Develop short and mid-term production plans, coordinating cross-functionally with production, sales, purchasing, and engineering to validate customer commitments will be met efficiently
  • Conducts weekly production meeting to review previous production performance and to gain plant alignment around future production requirements
  • Manages and communicates adjustments to schedule that affect future production plans to impacted teams
  • Ownership of demand plan, ensuring sales commitments and quotes are properly represented in the supply plan
  • Coordinates the initial production requirements for new products and existing product updates with Sustaining Engineering, Purchasing, and Production teams
  • Analyze and review production, warranty, and sales needs for products, determining priority of fulfillment when necessary.
  • Works to improve current planning processes and lead change across various functions
  • Participates in and supports SIOP process, communicating risks and opportunities to leadership group
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of all products manufactured by the plant and production processes utilized
  • Ownership of demand plan, ensuring sales commitments and quotes are properly represented in the supply plan
  • Report on planning KPIs – schedule adherence, on time delivery
