About The Position

The Master Planner will use their knowledge to prepare, develop and lead an effective production schedule.. You will work with a cross functional team to ensure we exceed our customers’ expectations and commitments for deliveries of product. This role will require a person dedicated to managing, collaborating and resolving conflicts efficiently to keep our production schedule on track and ensure we can meet our customer’s demands for quality products.

Requirements

Ability to communicate, collaborate, and work well with the different groups and levels of the organization to provide the level of information needed in order to make decisions
Understanding of demand planning and MRP process
Ability to work independently and exercise judgment and initiative in dealing with a variety of duties and responsibilities.
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to present resolution scenarios
Strong leadership skills/ability to lead and influence functions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Detail oriented and skilled in data analysis
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred) and 5+ years relevant experience
Experience working within integrated ERP software applications and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)

Nice To Haves

Certification as a PMI scheduling professional (PMI-SP) will be advantageous
Ideal professional experience includes support in Accounting, Finance, Program Management or Program Planning & Scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing or aerospace/defense environment
Advanced Excel Skills would be advantageous
Advanced proficiency in project scheduling software

Responsibilities

Develop short and mid-term production plans, coordinating cross-functionally with production, sales, purchasing, and engineering to validate customer commitments will be met efficiently
Conducts weekly production meeting to review previous production performance and to gain plant alignment around future production requirements
Manages and communicates adjustments to schedule that affect future production plans to impacted teams
Ownership of demand plan, ensuring sales commitments and quotes are properly represented in the supply plan
Coordinates the initial production requirements for new products and existing product updates with Sustaining Engineering, Purchasing, and Production teams
Analyze and review production, warranty, and sales needs for products, determining priority of fulfillment when necessary.
Works to improve current planning processes and lead change across various functions
Participates in and supports SIOP process, communicating risks and opportunities to leadership group
Maintains a thorough understanding of all products manufactured by the plant and production processes utilized
Ownership of demand plan, ensuring sales commitments and quotes are properly represented in the supply plan
Report on planning KPIs – schedule adherence, on time delivery
