The Master HVACR Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial refrigeration systems, including projects that use ammonia as a refrigerant. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of refrigeration equipment, maintains compliance with safety regulations, and provides technical expertise to clients.

Requirements

  • Valid Master HVACR License in the state of New Jersey
  • Working knowledge of ammonia, Freon, and CO2 systems, including applicable safety regulations
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
  • Ability to work in cold temperatures and wear required personal protective equipment
  • Ability to climb ladders, use power tools, and perform manual labor
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and work in a variety of environments

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot refrigeration equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and diagnose refrigeration system issues
  • Use specialized tools and equipment to repair or replace defective components
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients and management
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge
