About The Position

As part of the Alliance Mechanical Services team and broader Tech24 network, the HVACR technician plays a critical role in minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring customers' operations run efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently while representing the company with professionalism and integrity. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service in the field.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration service (preferred)
  • EPA Universal Certification required
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical diagnostics, airflow systems, and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record required
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditions
  • Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters
  • Own industry standard hand tools
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment including walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, ice machines, rooftop units, split systems, and exhaust/make-up air systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity
  • Install, replace, and commission HVAC and refrigeration systems as needed
  • Accurately document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions in company system
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding equipment issues, repair recommendations, and preventative maintenance plans
  • Maintain EPA compliance and adhere to all local, state and federal safety regulations
  • Manage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stocked
  • Respond to emergency service calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Represent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer service
  • Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities
