About The Position

This position is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of all electrical equipment and electrical-related equipment. A working knowledge of general machine maintenance and operation is needed in troubleshooting equipment. This individual will also assist in the training of electrical apprentices. Actively participates and displays behaviors of the company values.

Requirements

  • Valid Master Electricians license required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial electrical wiring and control work, including conduit bending, basic wire calculations, blueprint reading and multimeter use.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA standards, and UL requirements
  • Demonstrated experience with PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting.
  • Must be willing to travel to all PADNOS locations with possible overnight stays.
  • Must have strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Work off ladders, man-lifts, work- baskets and other elevated equipment.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with others.
  • Proven attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Valid driver’s license with clear driving record.
  • Must be safety conscious.
  • Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

  • Pull permits for upcoming electrical projects in accordance with local and state regulations.
  • Serve as the owner of off-campus annual inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association NFPA 86, and UL UL 489 requirements.
  • Partner with the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) department to develop, implement and continuously improve electrical safety standards.
  • Perform advanced electrical troubleshooting on systems up to 600VAC.
  • Conduct programming and troubleshooting across multiple PLC and HMI platforms.
  • Utilize and interpret results from electrical testing equipment (e.g. multimeters, megohmmeters, power quality analyzers).
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in industrial electrical control systems and capital equipment.
  • Lead and direct personnel on capital asset projects.
  • Provide project management oversight for key electrical initiatives.
  • Train, mentor, and support journeymen and apprentices.
  • Promote safe work practices and technical development within electrical team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
