About The Position

The Master Data Analyst is a dual-faceted role that serves as the primary guardian of InnovAge’s vendor repository. This position balances critical day-to-day data governance with high-impact strategic project work. The successful candidate will act as a "financial detective," utilizing extreme attention to detail to verify vendor legitimacy, prevent fraudulent requests from being processed, and mitigate financial loss. Beyond maintenance, this role is a key architect of process improvement. You will analyze operational trends to recommend enhancements, play a lead role in the evaluation and testing of Oracle Fusion Cloud integrations, and ensure the company remains in strict adherence to SOX, IRS (1099/1042S), and Unclaimed Property regulatory requirements. This is a high-pressure, high-visibility role essential to supporting the broader financial health and operational efficiency of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Information Systems is preferred. An Associate’s degree combined with 3+ years of highly relevant experience will also be considered.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in Accounts Payable or Master Data Management. Working knowledge: GAAP and accounting processes, SOX, 1099, Unclaimed Property Regulations.
  • ERP Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Oracle Fusion Cloud is required.
  • Data Analytics: Mastery of Microsoft Excel is required, specifically the ability to use Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, to manipulate and clean large datasets.
  • Analytical Reasoning: The ability to define complex problems, collect disparate data points, establish facts, and draw valid, actionable conclusions.
  • Communication: Exceptional English written and verbal skills, with the ability to draft formal business correspondence and present findings tactfully to senior leadership.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively and tactfully present information to, and communicate with, co-workers, employees, and others.
  • Resilience: The ability to remain even-tempered and productive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with shifting priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within a large-scale enterprise or a Shared Service Center (SSC) environment is highly preferred due to the complexity of the data sets involved.
  • Automation: Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or OCR (Optical Character Recognition) tools is a significant advantage as the department moves toward further automation.

Responsibilities

  • Vendor Ecosystem Management: Execute the end-to-end setup and maintenance of vendor profiles within Oracle Fusion Cloud. This includes rigorous verification of Tax IDs, legal entity names, banking information and additional supporting documentation to insulate the company from phishing and fraudulent activities.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Lead the annual 1099 and 1042S reporting processes, ensuring all filings meet IRS regulatory deadlines and standards.
  • Escheatment: Manage the Unclaimed Property lifecycle, performing stale-dated check review and ensuring compliance with state-specific guidelines for escheatment.
  • SOX Control Ownership: Act as the primary gatekeeper for SOX requirements related to vendor banking. Perform monthly reviews of SOX reports and serve as the primary point of contact for auditors to provide evidence of authorized documentation.
  • Process Engineering: Analyze financial and operational datasets to identify inefficiencies, such as duplicate vendors, missed discount opportunities, or root causes for late fees.
  • Digital Transformation: Serve as a key stakeholder in the testing and implementation of system enhancements, including AI-driven processes, OCR tools, and the development of vendor portal inquiries.
  • Cash Flow & Reporting: Collaborate with leadership to implement cash forecasting models and develop real-time dashboards that provide visibility into AP performance.
  • Electronic Migration: Lead the organizational effort to transition vendors from paper checks to ACH payments, improving security and cash forecasting, and reducing processing costs.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with IT and Operations to ensure system functionality and master data integrity across all Oracle integrations.
  • Technical Mentorship: Guide and train AP support staff on best practices for data integrity, internal controls, and fraud risk mitigation.
  • Stakeholder Experience: Participate in initiatives designed to improve the vendor and constituent experience, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of complex issues such as bank rejections, payment failures, and
