About The Position

Primary responsibility is to deliver excellence in quality Spa services to guests/visitors/members in a timely, courteous and efficient manner. Escorts clients to and from treatment rooms, attending to any immediate needs throughout their Spa visit. Assists in providing information to any inquiries and helps to coordinate all guest requests for services.

Requirements

  • Ability to give a timely Spa Service, providing a true relaxation and beneficial experience to each guest.
  • Ability to manage time to start and end guest treatment on time.
  • Knowledge of draping procedures and protocol.
  • Ability to focus attention on guests needs, remaining calm, and courteous.
  • Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the spa.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all guest information and pertinent hotel data.
  • Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform a minimum of six treatments per shift.
  • Ability to work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team.
  • Ability to recommend and sell Spa products to guests for at home care.
  • Knowledge of all massage/body treatments offered.
  • 500 hours minimum from a recognized school of massage.
  • One to three years previous experience in a Spa, Private Practice, Doctor’s Office, Chiropractor’s Office or any combination.
  • Certified Massage Therapist license required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete knowledge of: All Spa Services All Spa Products All Beauty Salon Services All Fitness Programs
  • Maintain complete knowledge and comply with hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Set up workstation with necessary supplies.
  • Handle guest complaints by following the instant guest pacification procedures and insuring guest satisfaction.
  • Arrive prompt, dressed in correct uniform, and adhere to hotel grooming standards. Required performing 5 complimentary treatments per month (per training, sales & promotions, etc.)
  • Provide Spa services to guests in a timely, courteous and efficient manner including, but not limited to, massage, wellness therapies, facials, nail services, hair services, body treatments, foot soaks/treatments, etc.
  • Maintain an agreed upon retail sales to service ratio with the exceptional products, gifts and accessories provided.
  • Massage therapist: minimum of 7.0% retail sold compared to services performed (Goals are evaluated monthly.  Goal must be met within 80% of the above or higher each month.)
  • Attend pre/post shift meetings
  • Participate fully in maintaining backbar expenses
  • Participate in all advanced training without exception.
  • Escorts guests to and from treatment rooms in a graceful manner, attending to any immediate needs throughout the Spa visit.
  • Assist in providing information to any inquiries, help to coordinate all guest requests for services and maintain impeccable yourself and spa cleanliness of the Spa.
  • Ensure guest comfort and safety throughout the treatment.
  • Maintain work area with necessary supplies, sanitation and disinfection procedures ensuring room is immaculate at all times (tables draped, counters and products clean).
  • Assist with cleanliness of all spa areas including all locker rooms.
  • Assist fellow associates with daily operations to support healthy teamwork and contribute to the success of the spa.
  • Assist in any other function as requested by Spa Manager, Director of Rooms or General Manager as it pertains to the spa, lounges, indoor/outdoor area, retail area,
