About The Position

Under the direction of the Cliff Spa Director and Assistant Director, you will be responsible for: treatment hall supervision, inventory, budgetary compliance, training, administrative work, and interdepartmental communication.

Requirements

  • Must possess a current Utah LMT License.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.
  • Must possess current LMT License, updated knowledge of current laws and regulations, and current training materials to distribute as needed.
  • Must be literate and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess strong organizational, computer, and oral presentation skills.
  • Must be reliable, mature, trustworthy, independent, and the ability to exercise judgment within policy guidelines and without supervisory approval.
  • Requires problem-solving skills, and the ability to initiate activities within job description and responsibility limitations.
  • Has a strong familiarity with other Snowbird operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts the hiring of new team members by creating job requisitions, working with HR, conducting interviews, and assisting new hires through the proper onboarding steps.
  • Helps manage treatment distribution with respect to proper booking guidelines and verifies the accuracy of the next day’s schedule each evening.
  • Leads the development and delivery of training protocols for massage, body treatments, and customer service expectations.
  • Trains new and existing staff, updates protocol sheets as necessary, and acts as an ongoing resource for treatment knowledge.
  • Creates and organizes additional workshops to keep therapists and coordinators as educated and informed as possible to elevate customer service.
  • Continues personal education to remain current in the field and offers innovative ideas for departmental growth.
  • Ensures an adequate supply of necessary supplies is maintained, and that supplies are kept in organized and sanitary surroundings.
  • Coordinates treatment hall activities, oversees cleaning of work areas, stocks treatment lab, and prepares room assignment sheets well in advance.
  • Responds to all professional emails within 48 hours.
  • Acts as the first point of contact in the event of ANY scheduled employee absences or early departures and makes an informed decision based on what would most benefit the spa and guests.
  • Tracks employee performance and conducts coaching sessions where appropriate.
  • Works with the Spa Director and Assistant Spa Director to determine the appropriate consequence regarding employee events and acts swiftly to resolve such issues.
  • Conduct monthly team meetings, weekly individual meetings with each team member, as well as annual reviews.
  • Assists all Spa departments with areas that need help.
  • Maintains constant and effective communication practices with all Spa departments, and relays pertinent information to the therapist team quickly and efficiently.
  • Leads by example.
  • Adopts and encourages changes made by management to promote their success within the therapist team.
  • Ensures that excellent customer service standards prevail in interactions with ALL guests and therapists.
  • Presents all concerns to management with respect, humility, and attention to the overall goal of the Cliff Spa: excellence in all we provide.
