About The Position

The General Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks across all trades to ensure a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for students and staff in a Pre-K through 12th-grade district. This role requires a "jack-of-all-trades" approach, with specific technical expertise in locksmithing and masonry .

Requirements

Minimum of four (4) years of experience in general maintenance, preferably in a school or commercial setting
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid NJ Driver's License (required for traveling between district buildings)
Experience in masonry work and locksmithing (including keying/re-keying)
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair issues across plumbing, electrical, and carpentry disciplines
Criminal history background check by the Department of Education
Certificate of good health by school doctor, including State required Mantoux Test
Proof of citizenship or registration
