POSITION SUMMARY We are currently seeking a Masker. The masker prepares parts for paint and masking operation.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand work orders.
  • Ability to be on your feet and/or sit for extended periods of time and to organize workflow.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with positive results.
  • Ability to meet production and quality requirements with minimum supervision.
  • High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred.
  • Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply work order instructions and sketches to prepare parts for chemical bath processes and/or paint.
  • Sand, strip or tape off parts to prepare parts for chemical processes and/or paint.
  • Apply paper/tape masking/liquid masking to basic and complex production parts prior to chemical process and/or organic (paint) coating.
  • Pull plugs thru close tolerance features prior to processing.
  • Perform racking and un-racking of all basic and complex part configurations.
  • Apply brush conversion coat and brush dry film lubricant.
  • Perform chemical paint stripping
  • Arrange parts on table or racks.
  • Perform removal of tape residue during paint prep operations.
  • Ability to move parts through paint process, organize workflow to painter and maintain product traceability.
