Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Review open sales orders and plan shipment based on product availability and customer request date Adjust daily truck loading schedules, shipping paperwork, product tags, etc. as needed Prepare and issue weekly work schedules for blue collar team members, factoring in vacations and other openings for overtime planning Ensure correct product flow through packout and rewind areas using scheduling tools Provide technical and logistical support for the packout and rewind areas Ensure proper use of system and physical locations for finished packages Ensure compliance with cycle count policies and reconciliation of customer-owned inventory Perform part number conversions and inventory true-ups as needed Process customer returns both systematically and physically Ensure proper handling of raw materials and finished goods for safety and to avoid product damage Maintain accurate payroll in company’s system Ensure team compliance to all safety requirements, including but not limited to use of personal protective equipment, job-safe practices, operation of mobile equipment, plant safety policies, etc. Ensure team compliance to collective bargaining agreement Perform disciplinary actions as appropriate Enforce high levels of labor efficiency Own and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time shipments, inventory accuracy, labor efficiency, and order fulfillment rates Analyze trends and variances in KPIs to identify root causes and implement corrective actions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align KPIs with broader supply chain and business goals Lead daily/weekly performance huddles to review metrics and drive continuous improvement Champion Lean principles such as 5S, waste elimination, and standard work within the DC Facilitate Kaizen events to improve packaging, freight, and inventory processes Implement visual management tools to enhance transparency and workflow efficiency Drive continuous improvement projects with measurable impact on cost, quality, and delivery Identify high-potential team members and create development plans aligned with future leadership roles Mentor and coach team leads to build bench strength and readiness for supervisory roles Maintain a talent pipeline by partnering with HR and training teams to support career progression Document critical processes and knowledge to ensure smooth transitions and minimize disruption
