Role Summary: The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for daily operations within an assigned department to ensure productivity, accuracy, safety, and service standards are met. This role is responsible for leading a team of associates, coordinating workflow, monitoring performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the DC. This position may work in our DCs Inbound, Outbound Replenishment, and/or Ecommerce Fulfillment functions.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Be a TPS brand ambassador
  • Strong leadership, communication, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Leads by example and communicate professionally and effectively with associates, peers, and management.
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse workforce and communicate professionally with all levels.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and warehouse systems (WMS); Aptos experience a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, push/pull up to 100lbs, climb ladders, and stand/walk up to 8 hours.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and extended hours during seasonal peaks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with material handling equipment preferred (forklift, pallet jacks, lifts).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily departmental workflow (picking, packing, replenishment, QC, inventory, ecommerce, or other assigned functions).
  • Monitor productivity, accuracy, and throughput; adjust staffing and workflow to achieve daily goals.
  • Lead startup meetings, communicate daily priorities, and set the tone for the shift.
  • Support peak-season operations with a flexible schedule, especially September–December.
  • Coach, train, and mentor associates; provide ongoing performance feedback and documentation in partnership with management.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, and documenting disciplinary conversations (manager retains final approval).
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and professional work environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding personnel matters, performance discussions, and company information.
  • Create, update, and maintain SOPs and training materials for standard work.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to SOPs, safety expectations, and operational policies.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA requirements applicable to warehouse operations.
  • Assign and adjust daily tasks based on labor, volume, and priorities.
  • Communicate issues, obstacles, and opportunities proactively to leadership.
  • Partner with the Department Manager on labor planning, scheduling, and staffing needs.
  • Own daily reporting, dashboards, and KPIs; identify performance gaps and help implement corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with other DC departments to resolve workflow issues andmaintainend-to-endoperationalflow.
  • Lead shift meetings and effectively communicate daily goals, building, and company wide information; setting the tone and energy level of the day.
