About The Position

Join the MarketStar Foundation as a College Intern and make an impact! This hands-on role supports our Tech Sales Pathway (TSP) Program, an educational initiative designed to empower the next generation of sales leaders. You’ll grade assignments, manage day-to-day program tasks, track student progress, and help build confidence in future sales professionals—all while gaining insight into how corporate foundations operate. Beyond supporting students, you’ll learn what it takes to foster a culture of volunteering and contribute to programs that mirror real-world sales organizations. Requirements

  • Demonstrated passion for continuous learning and a strong interest in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
  • Currently a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or a related field.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for driving community impact through philanthropy and volunteer initiatives.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey ideas clearly and professionally.
  • Comfortable teaching, mentoring, and leading students or individuals in a professional setting.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset and a desire to grow your role and contribute to program success.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Drive student success by grading assignments, managing day-to-day program tasks, and building confidence in future sales professionals.
  • Track progress and outcomes while gaining firsthand experience in how corporate foundations operate.
  • Build simple dashboards or trackers for grading, attendance, and milestones; keep calendars, assets, and project plans organized.
  • Observe planning cycles, assist with expense tracking, and help reconcile budget vs. actuals for programs and events.
  • Collect feedback and survey results, compile metrics, and help create concise reports that highlight outcomes and lessons learned.
  • Assist with employee volunteer initiatives such as planning events, promoting participation, coordinating sign-ups, and capturing service hours and impact stories.
  • Shadow the Foundation Manager to learn Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in practice and see how a “We Care” culture is built and sustained across teams.
