Marketplace Manager

PX Inc.New York, NY

About The Position

The Marketplace Manager is the "Economist" of the PX marketplace. Your mission is to optimize the intersection of supply and demand to maximize platform throughput. You will identify where the marketplace is "leaking" revenue—whether through low win rates, high post-rejects, or unfulfilled demand—and drive the Supply and Client Success teams to execute corrective actions.

Requirements

  • The Analyst Mindset: You likely have a background in AdTech, Programmatic (DSP/SSP), or Financial Exchange markets. You see the world in spreads, margins, and conversion funnels.
  • Hungry for Growth: You are constantly looking for the next dollar. Where efficiency is your super skill, growing the company is your fuel. You act as a constant trailblazer
  • The "Invisible Manager": You are comfortable influencing others without having direct authority. You use data as your primary tool to convince the Supply and Client Success leads to change their focus.
  • Bias for Action: You don't just report that "revenue is down"; you report that "revenue is down because Buyer X has a technical error, and Supply Manager Y needs to pause Sub-ID Z."

Responsibilities

  • Win Rate Optimization: Increase the percentage of successful bids on publisher leads. This KPI drives all actions to increase the transactional lead volume on the marketplace.
  • Monetization Efficiency: Improve CPL for publishers by reducing technical and quality-based "post-rejects."
  • Oversee Tiered Performance: Optimize the classification of quality between sources based on PX’s unique tiering modeling to help clients simplify targeting and pricing on campaigns.
  • Fill Rate: Minimize the gap between available publisher supply and active client demand.
  • Gross Margin Expansion: Identify high-value segments where PX can improve its spread.
  • Marketplace Surveillance & Analytics: Monitor real-time statistics across all verticals (Home Services, Health, Finance, etc.) to identify imbalances.
  • Analyze bidding patterns to determine why we are losing specific lead auctions (e.g., price vs. speed vs. quality filters).
  • Action: Produce daily "Flash Reports" highlighting the top 3 revenue opportunities or leaks for the sales and supply teams.
  • For Supply Teams: Direct them to recruit specific types of publishers or adjust existing publisher sub-IDs that are seeing high rejection rates.
  • For Client Success: Identify "Buyer Fatigue" or restrictive filters that are preventing clients from winning leads they actually need.
  • The Bridge: Act as the arbiter between a publisher wanting higher prices and a client demanding higher quality, finding the "sweet spot" that drives volume.
  • Lead the "Post-Reject Taskforce": Work with engineering and product to understand technical rejection reasons and drive Supply Managers to fix them with the publishers.
  • Optimize the "Waterfall": Manage the priority and logic of how leads are routed to ensure the highest possible monetization for every lead entered into the system.

Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation Package: Recognizing and rewarding your impact.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Health, vision, and dental insurance
  • Career Growth: An opportunity to shape the future of PX and leave your mark on the industry.
