About The Position

The Marketing Support Specialist plays a key role in driving brand visibility and engagement through creative social media campaigns, content creation, and marketing support. This position combines administrative responsibilities with a strong focus on digital marketing, storytelling, and community engagement.

Requirements

  • Degree in marketing, business management or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Must possess: strong interpersonal communication skills, good understanding and familiarity with social media platforms and basic analytics; creative "eye" for developing and evaluating social media and other promotional materials; previous experience with Microsoft 365 and Canva, excellent writing skills (includes good grammar, spelling, punctuation) with a strong attention to detail; basic photo and video editing skills for social media content, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent planning and organization skills, ability to prioritize work and work independently; good verbal communication and public speaking skills; ability to use marketing statistical analysis software on personal computer (word processing and spreadsheet skills very helpful) and input/retrieve data on computer; good business correspondence and report writing skills; professional demeanor and appearance; ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of people, dealing effectively with both pleasant and unpleasant situations; basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, percent, decimals); clear near and color vision to evaluate ads and marketing materials, etc. Must be able to deal effectively with time pressures and stress. Must be able to provide own transportation to conduct area marketing/advertising activities (visit branches, suppliers, media providers, etc.) And be insurable to drive.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media campaigns across platforms to promote brand awareness and engagement.
  • Share donations and sponsorship activities through social media posts, press releases, and blog content to highlight community involvement.
  • Create visually appealing graphics and videos using Canva or similar tools.
  • Maintain and update the Social Media Compliance Log to ensure adherence to regulatory and brand standards.
  • Schedule and coordinate employee photo shoots and manage photo kits for consistent branding.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and prepare monthly performance reports.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to identify trends and optimize content strategy.
  • Must have Basic photo and video editing skills for creating and refining social media content (e.g. basic trimming and cutting, applying filters and effects, audio editing, adding captions, creating short-form videos).
  • Confirm and process all paperwork related to donations and sponsorships.
  • Track contributions and maintain organized records.
  • Follow up with partners and internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Compile and deliver detailed reports on sponsorship activities and outcomes.
  • Maintain attendee lists and manage RSVP tracking for internal and external events.
  • Provide logistical support for event execution.
  • Prepare regular reports on social media performance, sponsorship impact, and event participation.
  • Utilize Excel and other tools to create dashboards and visual summaries for leadership.
  • Track KPIs and provide actionable insights to improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for document creation and reporting.
  • Manage branding and collateral supply orders, including:
  • Name tags, business cards, envelopes, email signatures
  • Promotional booklets, brochures and giveaway items
  • Coordinate bank clothing orders for staff.
  • Assist with event logistics, including attendee lists and RSVP tracking.
  • Prepare and distribute internal communications, including intranet updates and employee newsletters (monthly/quarterly).
  • Maintains adequate level of marketing supplies.
  • Other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
