About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION: Oversee the Player Development Department and create effective Casino promotions.. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS RESPONSIBILITIES: Has the ability to perform all functions of supervised positions. Responsible for the daily Player's Club operations of the Player Development Department. Ensures that all guests are properly serviced while providing recognition to repeat guests and develop positive relationships with repeat guests. Assists in supervising, planning, organizing and directing the activities of the casino’s current and future promotions and special events relating to guests and employees. Answers guest questions about casinos operations within compliance of the confidentiality agreement and if unable to, then refers to staff members who can answer. Assists in enticing guests to join Player's Club by complete data entry, filing, storage, modification and retrieval of guest’s name, address, etc, building totals and play levels to develop the demography attributes. Assist in Assuring positive employee relations and maximum guest service satisfaction to our guests by providing an ongoing training program for department staff. Responds to and answers questions or requests for information from guests/employees. Addresses concerns regarding deficiencies in Player's Club. Enforces approved Policies & Procedures. Assists Manager in training department personnel. Assists Manager with maintaining department schedules with accurate record keeping in all aspects. Assists Manager in providing information pertinent to evaluation of promotions. Administers the casino Player Development department and assist with the implementation of casino promotions. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Is sensitive to Native American Culture. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Gaming Personnel Policy/Procedures, Federal, Tribal and contract regulations and Internal Controls.
  • Must be able to establish data recording/retrieval system.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively to the public and staff, must have effective verbal and written communication skills to develop training requirements and enhancements.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Ability to lead, mentor and develop team members.
  • Ability to negotiate conflict effectively.
  • Physically capable of sitting, standing and walking for long periods of time.
  • Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment.
  • High School graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Three or more years related experience, preferably in players club or similar guest services.
  • One year supervisory experience.
  • Must have strong computer skills
  • Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
