The Moment The current political landscape demands a rapid scaling of Jewish civic engagement at every level of city and state government, intensifying the need for coordinated action to ensure Jewish communal priorities are being met across New York. To meet this moment, UJA-Federation of New York is launching a series of new organizational initiatives designed to mobilize our community quickly and effectively. This requires marketing that’s timely, compelling, and strategic—able to cut through the noise, support fast-moving advocacy efforts, and inspire broad communal engagement. Strong, responsive marketing is essential to activating our community and bridging differences. About this opportunity UJA is looking for a Marketing & Communications Strategist, Advocacy and Civic Engagement to play a key role in shaping and executing marketing communications that inspire civic participation, showcase UJA’s impact across the community, and advance UJA’s mission. This is a multifaceted role that blends strategic communications, project management, and compelling storytelling during a moment of heightened engagement and urgency. The ideal candidate brings experience in political campaigns or similarly fast-paced, mission-driven environments and is an exceptional communicator—both written and verbal. They’re an imaginative, solutions-oriented thinker who thrives in a collaborative environment and balances big-picture strategy with meticulous execution. In this role, they will mobilize donors, community partners, and Jewish New Yorkers to deepen engagement and drive action.
