About The Position

The Marketing Specialist supports the Minidoka Memorial Hospital’s marketing, branding, and communication efforts through hands-on implementation of campaigns, content development, digital and social media management, and service line promotion. This role collaborates with physicians, leadership, and departments to ensure consistent brand messaging and effective promotion of hospital services aligned with organizational goals. This position will be Monday through Friday - Days. There may be some evenings /weekends as needed for marketing events.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field
  • Minimum of one to three (1-3) years of marketing or communications experience preferred
  • Social Media skills
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with website CMS platforms and social media tools
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to community members, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of marketing analytics and reporting
  • Ability to analyze data, generate insights, and make strategic decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A keen eye for detail and ability to work independently.
  • Perceive the nature of sounds by the ear, express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word, perceive characteristics of objects through the eyes, extend arms and hands in any direction, seize, hold, grasp, turn, or otherwise work with hands, pick, pinch, or otherwise work with fingers, perceive such attributes of objects or materials as size, shape, temperature, or texture; and stoop, kneel crouch, and crawl.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting, carrying pushing, and pulling of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Continuous walking and standing.
  • Must be able to identify, match, and distinguish colors.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
  • Healthcare, rural health, or critical access hospital experience
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing organization-wide marketing strategies and campaigns aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic goals.
  • Develop and update marketing content for hospital service lines, clinics, and physician practices.
  • Maintain and regularly update the organization’s website, including service pages, provider bios, and announcements.
  • Create, schedule, and manage social media content across approved platforms to support engagement and brand awareness.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual standards across all digital, print, and community-facing materials.
  • Collaborate with physicians, providers, and department leaders to gather information and support marketing initiatives.
  • Draft marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, newsletters, press releases, and internal communications.
  • Support public relations activities, including coordinating media requests and assisting with press materials.
  • Assist with planning and promoting community outreach events, health fairs, and educational programs.
  • Monitor online reviews, social engagement, and patient feedback, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Support advertising efforts, including coordination of newspaper, radio, billboard, cinema, and digital ads.
  • Assist with ordering, tracking, and distributing promotional items and branded materials.
  • Track marketing activities and basic performance metrics to support reporting and evaluation.
  • Ensure marketing activities comply with HIPAA, organization policies, and brand standards.
  • Actively engage in quality improvement activities.
