Reports to the Education Director and assists in the development and implementation of marketing strategies for educational programming and events. Provides marketing and public outreach support for the David Farber ASPIRE Center and serves as the Center’s liaison to Jefferson’s Marketing and Communications office. The successful candidate demonstrates strong creative problem solving skills, exceptional writing and social media content creation abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and within a team oriented, collaborative environment. Job Description ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Represent the ASPIRE Center at various events and programs, internally and externally to a wide-array of audiences Manage the ASPIRE Instagram presence including the creation of multimedia content. Coordinate activities across all programs to leverage promotional opportunities for educational programming and events, and report out program activities Participate in Jefferson’s cross-departmental Social Media Working Group Work with Marketing and Communications and Center leadership on the creation of collateral materials such as newsletters, flyers, and other promotional pieces Be available to assist with signature events and programs, including on evenings and weekends Assist with community event planning, coordination and engagement with Education Director and the Center at-large Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and others consistent with the values of Jefferson Manages inventory of Center marketing products and supplies Keeps track of event & program calendar and proactively supports Education Director. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Knowledge and understanding of graphic design and associated programs (Adobe Suite, Canva, Constant Contact etc.) is highly preferred.
