About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Senior Director of Marketing Communications, this role serves as the Marketing Project Manager for Marketing and Strategic Communications (MSC). This position owns and directs project management processes, ensuring collaboration and efficiency for all MSC projects and campaigns. This person also manages projects and campaigns for specified ministry partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five years of project management experience including experience working with project management software such as Workamajig.
  • Proven success in managing projects and processes.
  • Detail oriented and organized with flexibility for changing deadlines and scopes on a daily basis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with confidence in negotiating with an array of personalities
  • A self-starter that is assertive and takes initiative
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Authorized to work in the US legally without sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for documentation, optimization, and implementation of efficient and clear MSC process workflows for projects/campaigns across all MSC teams. Teams include Creative Services, Digital Marketing, Strategic Communications, Business Intelligence, and Strategic Marketing teams. Evaluate annually with the MSC team the effectiveness of current processes and update as needed.
  • Serve as administrator and manager of project management software, Workamajig, ensuring database is up-to-date and effective, including but not limited to creating and maintaining staff and ministry partner profiles, job templates, project request forms, department and team lists, and identifying and running reports for operational effectiveness.
  • Train all staff members who manage projects/campaigns in MSC processes, as well as the use of Workamajig and any other tools MSC utilizes for project/campaign management, including but not limited to the MSC server, Litmus, Optimizely, Canto, and Teams.
  • Leading monthly meetings with each main ministry partner and the MSC team, gleaning updates from our ministry partners in terms of their performance metrics and upcoming projects or campaigns and providing space for collaborative and innovative discussions.
  • Ensure all projects/campaigns are managed according to MSC processes, connecting with staff who manage project/campaigns as needed to coach and give feedback on process alignment.
  • Serve as project manager for MSC corporate needs and with ministry partners such as Alumni Association, and other departments within Moody. This work includes printed programs, landing pages, email campaigns, digital marketing campaigns, social media campaigns, directional and promotional signs, and attendee surveys.
  • Engage with ministry partners throughout a project/campaign, indicating schedule/deadline probability, giving cost estimates, scheduling joint meetings with ministry partners and MSC staff as needed, advocating for the MBI brand, routing drafts and concepts, and negotiating with ministry partners on project specifics.
  • Utilize MSC’s project management software, Workamajig, to intake, plan, and monitor a project/campaign throughout its lifecycle. This includes opening projects, gathering assets, creating schedules, monitoring completion of tasks by MSC team, ensuring the most up-to-date information is available.
  • Connect with social, creative, and digital marketing teams throughout a project/ campaign, communicating scope and updates, measuring and assessing schedule/deadline probability with team supervisors and individuals, obtaining cost estimates, scheduling joint meetings with ministry partners and MSC staff as needed, and negotiating project specifics.
  • Cultivate on-going trusted relationships by ensuring clear and consistent communication, utilizing a tone of collaborative assertiveness in all communications.
  • With the goal of exceeding expectations, inform the Sr. Director of Marketing Communications of successes, failures, communication hurdles, and recommend solutions when appropriate.
