About The Position

We're looking for our first Marketing Manager to own positioning, messaging, and full-funnel marketing strategy for our professional services. You'll be a T-shaped marketing generalist who can both develop strategy and execute tactically, while also managing external agencies and contractors to scale our marketing efforts. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role reporting directly to the SVP, Revenue. You'll work closely with our sales team, subject matter experts, and leadership to accelerate growth.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of marketing experience at early-stage B2B SaaS companies (product marketing, demand gen, or growth marketing)
  • Experience managing external agencies, freelancers, and contractors
  • Track record of developing positioning, messaging, and executing marketing campaigns
  • Startup DNA: Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments with limited resources
  • Ownership Mentality: Takes initiative and drives projects to completion across internal and external teams
  • Customer-Obsessed: Deeply understands buyer needs and can translate them into effective marketing
  • Results-Oriented: Focuses on metrics that drive business outcomes, not vanity metrics
  • Agency Partner: Comfortable being the "client" and managing external relationships effectively

Responsibilities

  • Refine Workstreet's positioning against traditional Big 4 consulting and other MSPs
  • Develop compelling messaging around our Vanta partnership advantage
  • Create differentiated value propositions for different customer segments (Series A vs Series C+ companies)
  • Audit and refresh all customer-facing materials (website, sales decks, proposals)
  • Create customer case studies and success stories highlighting our unique value
  • Develop competitive intelligence and win/loss analysis framework
  • Train sales team on positioning and messaging
  • Source, evaluate, and manage external agencies for content creation, paid advertising, and SEO
  • Coordinate with freelance writers, designers, and specialists to execute marketing campaigns
  • Manage agency relationships and ensure deliverables align with our positioning and brand
  • Build hybrid marketing model combining internal strategy with external execution
  • Partner with our co-founders (industry thought leaders) to develop content calendar
  • Oversee content creation through external agencies and freelancers
  • Develop webinar and event strategies to generate demand
  • Manage paid advertising campaigns through agency partners
  • Conduct customer interviews and market research to refine ICPs
  • Analyze buyer journey and optimize conversion touchpoints
  • Track competitive landscape and positioning shifts
  • Provide market insights to inform product/service roadmap
